Lasius neglectus, a hardy multi-queen species that forms fast-growing "super colonies". It develops at room temperature, happily takes sugar syrup and protein food, and its numbers grow noticeably faster than most species. In winter a short rest period is enough. One of the most dynamic species, the colony transforms before your eyes within a few months.
